2023 Vintage

The 2023 Vintage was another wonderful year on Underwood MT. The bud break and fruit set were temperate with no rain. The winter rains delivered the bulk of the water year which finished at 35” … but we saw just a little over an inch of rain during the bulk of the growing season from May 1st to September 1st. The minimal summer rain delivered clusters that were a bit smaller, especially the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris which create flavors that are a bit more robust for this vintage. Looking forward to seeing what comes back from the wineries! It was also our granddaughter Demi’s first harvest (see pic).
